Melt butter in a medium frying pan over mediumhigh heat. Add onion. Cook, stirring, for 3 minutes or until softened. Add garlic and sage. Cook, stirring, for 30 seconds or until fragrant.

Reduce heat to medium. Add peas. Cook, covered, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes or until peas are heated through. Season with salt and pepper. Serve.
Tip: To reduce saturated fat, this dish can be cooked with two tablespoons of olive oil instead of the butter.
