Kids' task: Use a parisienne scoop to scoop balls of rockmelon, honeydew and watermelon and arrange on a serving platter with the carambola.

You can prepare the fruit up to 4 hours ahead. Cover with plastic wrap and store in the fridge. Parisienne or melon-ball scoops are available from most kitchenware stores. If carambola (star fruit) are unavailable, use 1 x 250g punnet of strawberries instead.
