- Step 1
In a large mixing bowl, add butter, sugar and vanilla, mix together with electric beater until light and creamy. Add egg and beat into butter mixture for a minute.

Add flour to mixture and mix together with a knife or spatula, until bread crumb consistency forms. Add chocolate chips and bring together using hands to form a dough like ball.

Wrap dough in cling wrap and put in fridge for 30 minutes to chill.

Preheat oven to 160C. Prepare 2 large baking trays with grease proof paper.

Once chilled, roll teaspoon-sized balls into palm of hand and place on tray, leaving approx 3cm space around each ball, lightly press balls with a fork. Place trays in oven for 12 minutes or until lighten golden. Remove from oven and allow to cool on trays for 10 minutes.
