- Step 1
Place eggs in a medium saucepan. Cover with cold water. Bring to the boil over high heat, stirring occasionally (see Chef's tip).

Reduce heat to medium. Simmer for 3 minutes. Remove pan from heat. Using a slotted spoon, transfer eggs to egg cups. Using a spoon, carefully remove tops from eggs.

Serve with toast fingers.
Chef's tips: Soft-boiled eggs: Stirring the egg occasionally helps the yolk stay centered in the egg. Simmer eggs for 5 minutes for medium-boiled, and 7 minutes for hard-boiled.
