    1. Step 1

      Place the mayonnaise, chives and 2 tablespoons warm water in a bowl, and mix until well combined. Grill the bacon for 1-2 minutes or until crisp and golden, then tear into large pieces. Set aside and keep warm.

    2. Step 2

      Arrange the lettuce, tomatoes, avocado and bacon on a serving plate. Top with crumbled egg, drizzle with the mayonnaise dressing and serve.

    This salad can also be served as a filling for rolls or baguettes. Great for picnics or making ahead and serving cold.
